It is disturbing to hear the suggestions of dropping Babar Azam-Fakhar Zaman
When news of Babar’s fall spread, Pakistani Fakhar Zaman reacted massively. Citing the example of Virat Kohli, he said that when the batter was out of form, India did not drop him and it was worrying to see Babar going down.
While calling Babar the best berry Pakistan has ever produced, he said throwing away the dead body could send a negative message to the team. He made a statement on his Twitter account:
“It’s interesting to hear the suggestions for Babar Azam’s drop. India didn’t reserve Virat Kohli between 2020 and 2023 when he averaged 19.33, 28.21 and 26.50 during his rough streak.
“If we are thinking of taking out the best batsman Pakistan has ever produced, it could send a deeply negative message to the team. We still have time not to panic.tone; “We should focus on protecting our key players instead of injuring them.”

Hours after the reports emerged, Pakistan announced the squad for the final two Tests against England. Babar Azam was dropped from the team and not only him but also Shaheen Afridi Nasim Shahand Sarfaraz Khan thrown from the side.
Since the start of 2023, Babar has averaged less than 21 in nine Tests. He is struggling to get going and has also not scored a half-century in the format since 2022. In the first game against England, he scored 30 and 5 in two innings. He was out of touch in two innings on a track where nearly every hitter ran. He will now want to make a dominant comeback and answer his critics in style.
