Jake Paul’s Back in the Ring this Saturday, June 28, with an lead on a Dazn ppv in the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. This time he is fighting someone with a proper record – former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez jr.
The co-chief sees Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez defend his WBA and WBO Cruiserweight belts against Cuban veteran Yuniel Dorticos in a solid battle between two seasoned prose.

Paul (11-1, 7 food) built a reverent enough run for a fighter who started as an influencer. But he has never been with someone like Chavez Jr. (54-6-1, 34 food), a former world champion with more than 60 fights under his belt non-even though most of the belt is at this point.
Chavez Jr., now 39 (not 29, as some press releases put it wrong), returned last year after a long break and achieved two wins, including a six-round decision on Uriah Hall. Let us not pretend that the victories say a lot-but he is still experienced, still tricky and probably the well-school boxer Paul faced.
Or Chavez jr. Actually appearing in form is another story. He has spent a good part of the last decade being unpredictable inside and outside the ring. But if he is turned in, Paul can have problems.
Co-Main: Gilberto Ramirez vs. Yuniel Dorticos
Zurdo Ramirez (47-1, 30 COs) has looked good since he came to Cruiserweight in 2023. He picked up three wins in the division-what Joe Smith jr. Hanter, and Arsen Goulamirian stopped and Chris Billam-Smith pointed out in a rough 12-round scrap in Riyadh.
The last one showed that Ramirez could dig deep, but it also exposed him to a heavy punishment. Dorticos (27-2, 25 food), at 39, is also not the freshest fighter, but he can still beat. Both of his career losses came to Big Hitters in gasy and Briedis, and he achieved three direct wins to earn this title shot.
Dorticos probably won’t eliminate Zurdo, but if he doesn’t make it disappear, he’s dangerous. Ramirez does not carry the same power as the men who beat Dorticos – so it can be close as it goes past the halfway mark.
