Liverpool have been in the news this year due to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s ongoing links with Real Madrid.
The England international has entered the final six months of his contract at Anfield and uncertainty over his future has increased.
League and Champions League winners Real Madrid have made it clear that they want to sign Liverpool’s right back.
Los Blancos have already made an offer to Liverpool which was quickly rejected by the Premier League leaders but will not stop the Spanish club from making another bid.
Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has joined the conversation and claimed the Liverpool defender is certain to leave the club for a move to Real Madrid.
“Oh, he will be at Real Madrid, oh 100%. I see nothing but Real Madrid.” said the expert Sky Sports.
“When you reduce your contract to six months, the amount of money he would have lost in the last year and a half when if he had signed a new contract he would have had a lot more money, I think he has. on the stage now where he is 100% it will.
“Real Madrid, as I say, very rarely do not get who they want, and very, very rarely, people reject Real Madrid. So I can’t see that not happening.
“I’d be surprised if that happened in January, I’d be very surprised.”

Will Trent Alexander-Arnold leave Liverpool?
He appears to be edging closer to leaving the club and there is no turning back for the right-back.
Although a journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed the Liverpool star’s demandswhich if fulfilled, could still make the player stay at the club but that seems too optimistic.
If he had any intention of signing a new deal at Liverpool, he would have done so by now.
Liverpool must now ensure they keep the player until the end of the season and give themselves the best chance of silverware this season.
Allowing him to leave in January should be simply unacceptable to the club and the fans.
