Coming from the O2 Arena in London on October 25th, in a heavyweight contest that will be available live on DAZN PPV, heavyweight contender Joseph Parker is scheduled to square off against fellow heavyweight contender Fabio Wardley.

The upcoming showdown between Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley is a tremendous heavyweight matchup. You’ve got two legitimate Top 10 heavyweights squaring off, and it’s a risky fight for both guys – it’s the type of matchup that could really shake up the heavyweight landscape.
Parker is almost universally regarded as the most deserving challenger to Oleksandr Usyk’s undisputed world heavyweight championship, and for very good reason. Parker has fought his way back to title contention with six straight wins, and his last three victories have been particularly impressive. He completely outclassed Deontay Wilder, who was a Top 5 heavyweight, when Parker beat him. Then he beat another Top 5 heavyweight when he won a 12-round majority decision against Big Bang Zhang. In his most recent bout, he was originally scheduled to challenge IBF champion Daniel Dubois, but Dubois pulled out of the fight just days out due to injury, and Martin Bakole stepped in as a last-minute replacement. Bakole was considered a Top 10 pick going into that one, and Parker stopped him in Round 2.
Wardley is a heavyweight powerhouse who recently won against Justis Huni. The fight proved to be an extremely challenging one for Wardley, where Huni was able to outbox him throughout most of the contest, but Wardley eventually scored a dramatic knockout in round 10. Wardley has the pinnacle of devastating knockout power that many have compared him to former WBC champion Deontay Wilder, where despite having an elite boxing record, neither player had a record. skill deficit through mental determination, incredible confidence and devastating knockout power.
What makes this fight particularly interesting is that we have two Top 10 heavyweights fighting for the right to earn a title shot, where each man is likely in a position where they will be in line for a title shot soon, where Parker is the WBO interim champion and Wardley is the WBA interim champion. In that sense, it’s a very risky fight for both heavyweights, and the contrasting styles should make for an entertaining encounter. This is a tremendous fight for heavyweight boxing, and both boxers should be applauded for rising to the challenge.
