Pakistan coach Jason Gillespie picks two ‘unplayable’ bowlers in modern cricket

Pakistan head coach Jason Gillespie recently shared his views on the best bowlers in modern cricket and singled out two pacers as “unplayable”. It should be noted that Gillespie himself was one of the best bowlers for Australia and the fact that he named two pacers in modern cricket speaks volumes about the qualities these pacers possess.

Jason Gillespie reveals his picks for the best bowlers

Gillespie praised India jasprit bumrah and of Australia Pat Cummins and believed that the two pacers possessed great qualities and were also identified as bowlers who brought a unique and ruthless edge to the game. He praised them for their ability to keep beats under constant pressure with a mix of tempo, challenging lines and precision. According to Gillespie, both Bumrah and Cummins are adept at exploiting weaknesses in their pitching technique and always prompt them to make critical decisions that can lead to error.

“Their main strength is that they are quite ruthless in attacking hitters. They have good pace, difficult lines and lengths and always force the batsmen to make difficult decisions. They have good pace, challenging lines and lengths. They always ask questions about the techniques of the fighters. “They always make sure that the batsman has to make good decisions or they’re going to give themselves up.” Gillespie quoted from the Indian Express.

Unmatchable accuracy and goalkeeping ability

Gillespie also highlighted Bumrah and Cummins’ ability to deliver “unplayable” balls, describing how they have the rare ability to create wicket-taking opportunities out of nowhere. Be it a late swing, a burst of extra pace or a subtle movement off the pitch, these bowlers have a way of surprising even the best batsmen, he noted.

“So… they’re ruthless with their accuracy and discipline, but they can also win those unplayable deliveries. Whether he swings late, has an extra half a meter of pace or simply does something that many bowlers don’t. They simply have the ability to create a door if there is none. They just create opportunities out of nowhere.” Gillespie added.
