The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced its new look via its social media platforms: “An important cause to go pink…Pakistan players will wear pink-themed kits to raise awareness of breast cancer as part of the first #pakvsa t20i, #poktober initiative.”

This extends beyond these bundled player outfits; “In addition, South African cricketers, match officials, commentators and broadcasters will also join the cause by wearing pink ribbons throughout the match.” The entire stadium atmosphere reflects the theme, with pink branded stumps used throughout the fixture, awareness messages and live visuals. Additionally, this initiative is a collaboration with pink ribbon breast cancer trust hospital in Lahore “It will offer free clinical examinations and imaging for same-day visitors.”
