Manny Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 Kos) and his coach Freddie Roach believe they earned a unanimous 12 round decision on Saturday night for their fight against WBC Welterweight Champion Mario Barrios (29-2-2, 18 COs) in the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Roach advocates second Barrios struggle
Roach says he wants Pacquiao to get an immediate re -broadcast with Barrios. It is unclear whether it will happen. It would be more interesting to see someone else get a chance instead of Manny getting a chance after a chance to fight for the belt.
“After 12 rounds I thought I won 8-4. It was my analysis of the fight. I was surprised by the announcement that it was a draw,” Manny Pacquiao said at the Press conference after battleand respond to the 12-round draw against the WBC champion, Mario Barrios.
Pacquiao didn’t do enough to win. A draw was fair or a close victory for Barrios because he landed the better shots and did a good job of staying calm. We cannot have fighters have repeated opportunities to fight for a title if they fail in their first attempt.

If Pacquiao wants a second crack at a title, he must defeat these two top contenders: Shakhram Giyasov and Raul Curiel. Manny has already received his undeserved title against Barrios. Now it’s time for him to earn a second chance by risking his skin like other contenders in the welterweight section – no more freebies.
“The fans are happy with my actions. Don’t worry. Pacquiao is back. I’m still here. I did my best, and I really thought I won the fight,” says Manny.
It doesn’t matter that Pacquiao thought he was winning. The fact is that the judges did not think he won, and it is the ones who did the standings. He will just have to live with it.
