Our Jabaur is leaving tennis.
In an effort to strengthen her physical and mental health, Grand Slam finalist is pressing a break in her tennis career.
A series of injuries has broken Jabaur and drained the joy of the game from it.
Last month, Jabaur played through the qualification and dropped the 2024 Wimbledon Jasmine Paolini finalist on the way to the Berlin quarter -finals. Jabaur lost in 2023 champion Wimbledon Vondrousova Markets in the quarter -finals, then fell to the first rear rounds, in Maya Joint in Eastbourne and in world no. 111 Victoriya Tomova in Wimbledon. Jabaur withdrew from its opening Wimbledon after traveling 6-7, 0-2.
“For the last two years, I have been pushing myself so much, fighting through injuries and facing many other challenges,” Jabaur posted on Twitter. “But deep down, I’m not really happy in court for some time now.
“Tennis is such a beautiful sport. But now, I think it’s time to withdraw and finally put yourself first: to breathe, to recover and rediscover the joy of living simply.”

The former world No. 2 and Wimbledon Jabaur’s double finalist, who had left the ankle surgery earlier in her career, has been surrounded by damage in recent years. Jabaur closed its 2024 season last August after suffering a shoulder injury.
Nicknamed “Minister of Happiness” for her joyful mood in court, Jabaur admitted that she had fought to find pleasure playing tennis this season.
The 30-year-old Tunisian started the 2025 season reaching the Brisbane quarterfinals bowing to Mirra Andreeva 6-4, 7-6. Jabaur continued to reach the quarterfinal back-back in Abu Dhabi and Doha. Since then, she has fought by posting a 3-9 record in the main matches of the tournament.
A highly skilled shooting creator and one of the most popular tournaments in the tournament, Jabaur will miss her unique style and fan -friendly personality.
