“I don’t know. I’m 50/50 on that right now. I think the fans and everybody want to see it now. But I don’t know what I think he’s so confident about, especially because I beat Ray,” Foster told Custer’s channel.
“And, you know, it’s the dollar store version of him. So, I’m sure he likes, man, look, certain things that Ray does better than him. Ray has a little more power than him. I feel like offensively, Rey can hit with both hands as far as certain things that he does.
“So, I feel like he knows it like it’s close like the fight would happen, like he’s got a lot to worry about. I didn’t change softball or anything. So, I just think he’s a little nervous. He feels the throne shaking, and I’m coming. So, he’s going to have to answer, man. The fans want to see it.”
Foster also explained why he believes he will have the edge in a matchup with Stevenson.
“I say, man, the same way his little guy just played. I put that pressure on him. I’ll do certain things there to frustrate him, to make him mad,” O’Shaquie said.
“And, you know, I feel like I got the better offensive repertoire out of me and him. And I feel like that’s what it’s going to come down to.
“I showed that I was willing to get in that fire. Ray was stronger. He’s got more crack than Shakur. So just little things like that are going to be like how he’s going to keep me off him now.”
Foster also dismissed suggestions that Stevenson would be too big for the fight.
“I mean, Timothy Bradley said it right. I’ve fought at 38, 35, 33, 37. It’s easy for me to make them kind of weights. I spare them guys. Their guys aren’t big.
“That 5-10 pounds is nothing. It won’t mean anything. We’re all really the same size. When they start doing all that rehydration clause if he’s too big, it’s a scare tactic.
“Skill for skill, we know who. Skills pay the bills.”
When asked to outline his ideal future schedule, Foster said Shakur would be his preferred next opponent, while also mentioning potential fights against Lamont Roach and Gervonta Davis.
