Australia’s Matt Renshaw recently picked the players to watch out for from the Indian national cricket team in the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25. Matt Renshaw has overlooked veteran Indian Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli among the players to watch out for in the five-match Test series.
Led by Pat Cummins, Australia will host a five-match Test series against India later this year. The home team will be hoping to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy for the first time since their last win in the 2014-15 series. Australia have lost four consecutive Test series against India, including two home series.
On the other hand, the Rohit Sharma-led team will be looking for a third consecutive Test series win in Australia. It is worth noting that India had not won a Test series in Australia before the 2018-19 tour. Australia beat India in their last Test match during the WTC 2023 final.

We still love Matt Renshaw’s ability to play – George Bailey
Matt Renshaw, who was a substitute in the recent series against the West Indies and New Zealand, has not been selected in the Australia A squad for the upcoming red-ball series against India A.
Chairman of selectors George Bailey said they like Renshaw’s skills but the selection process is about balancing immediate opportunities with player development. Renshaw, along with Pete Handscomb and Nic Maddinson, will be closely watched during Shield cricket, Bailey said.
“Even though there’s an Australia A team there, I think Matt Renshaw, Pete Handscomb, Nic Maddinson, three examples, are guys we’ll continue to watch really closely in Shield cricket,” he said.
