Chris Sutton has made his prediction for Ruben Amorim’s first game in charge of Manchester United.
The Red Devils travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town on Sunday as the Amorim era begins; the Portuguese coach took over from Erik ten Hag after a brief interim spell under Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Man Utd tipped to make ambitious move for key Spurs star!
united They have certainly improved since Ten Hag’s departure, winning three and drawing one of their last four games, compared to just one win in their last eight under the Dutchman.
On paper, a game against a newly promoted team should be a good way for Amorim to start his reign. However, Ipswich have taken four points from their last two games and stunned Tottenham 2-1 just before the international break; their first Premier League win since April 2002.
we love he will hope that he has managed to get some of his first messages to his new team, who will have to give their best to get the three points.
Will Ruben Amorim get stuttering start at Man Utd?

Chris Sutton has predicted this weekend’s clash BBC Sport and not good reading for United fans.
The former Blackburn and Celtic striker does not foresee a defeat for United, which would mean a disastrous start for Amorim. However, he does not believe the Red Devils can overcome their hosts.
“I imagine this is Amorim’s first visit to Ipswich and he will probably be a little underwhelmed, because there are much nicer towns in East Anglia to visit,” Sutton wrote.
“Nor is it the ideal place to start with Manchester United.
“Ipswich’s win at Tottenham will give them real confidence and they’ve already drawn three at home so they’ll be competitive, especially if United are adjusting to a new system – a lot of their players are coming back from international duty and they have taken refuge.” I didn’t have time to work with Amorim.
“United will have some defense as Sammie Szmodics is lively up front and Liam Delap is a handful too – his goal involvement stats including assists are really impressive. Ipswich just need to stop being so sloppy defensively. If they do, they could get something out of this game.
“Everyone else will probably put Amorim to start with a win, but I’m going for a draw.
“After all the excitement and hype over the apparent upgrade, then it’s unthinkable for United to lose to the Tractor Boys, but imagine if they get points?”
