“I’m still working best that I can be able to in circumstances to challenge boys or challenge myself mainly and really see how I can do in all the tours I participate in,” Gjokovic said. “Of course, the best of the three, the duration of the tournament, ideally seven days, this is where I think I have a better chance of winning a trophy or making a significant result.

“In addition to those matches I have lost for these two best players in the world, I think I played really good tennis in the Grand Slams and have reached semifinals in each of them.

“So talks about the level and consistency and so I’m happy with that. But at the same time there is a part of me that is always winner, you know, wants to be the best. I’ve been lucky enough to experience the biggest thing.”

The owner of the 100 career titles is 19-3 in his last 22 games on the tournament with all three losses coming to the first two places in the world.

Gjokovic said he is still inspired to continue to compete and try to return the tables to Alcaraz and sinners, who have combined to collect eight direct Grand Slam championships.

“It is not ideal when it is really playing big matches and losing against the best players in the world. However, this is not discouraging me to continue,” Djokovic said. “I don’t play tennis just for the sake of making results and winning the trophies, there are several other reasons why I keep going.”
