Nicolas Mahut will close the curtain in his Historical career at the end of this year.
The 43-year-old Frenchman aims to say farewell to tennis at Rolex Paris Masters in November.
One athletic offensive player, Mahut won four titles of bachelors and 37 double championships. Mahut caught five double crowns of Grand Slam, including grant Slam career completion in doubles with long partner Pierre-Hugues Herbert. The duo became the eighth team of men in the history of the open era to complete the Grand Slam career.
“I’ve made the decision to stop my career,” Mahut told Eurosport Frace. “It remains to be seen when, in Bercy or in the open US.
“If my body allows it and if I’m invited, I would like to be able to end up in Paris.”
In June 2016, Mahut climbed the rankings of the world no. 1 Yannick Noah as the second Frenchman to hold first place in pairs.

In Wimbledon 2010, John Isner And Mahut collaborated on a timely tennis saga that generated international attention as the longest match in tennis history.
Isner’s backward passing down the line at his fifth point of the match finally brought the curtain to the classic meeting that lasted 11 hours, 5 minutes with Isner converting the exhaustion in obtaining a 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6 (3), 70-68 Epic. In that marathon match, Mahut hit 103 aces.

A devoted Davis Cup player to France, Mahut and Marcel Granollers of Spain were combined for one of the longest rallies in the history of Davis Cup, an extravaganza with 84 strokes.
