In North America, “Football” means Touchdowns, Doors and Rituals on Sunday. For the rest of the world, it is a game of goals, songs and crests of the club. Now, both versions of the sport collide in a collection of crossover that is already turning their heads.
Fanatics and the NFL have joined for the “Football X Football” collection, a series of limited edition sweater that reimbages all NFL teams through the slowness of classic football kit design.
Each of the 32 T -shirts is fully inclined to the aesthetics of global game: think retro necklaces, patterns inspired by the World Cup and typography that feels more Maracanès than Metlife. But below the surface, each piece is still rooted in the identity of the NFL of each team.
To ensure that the balance was authentic, fanatics gathered a global design crew in Europe, South America and the United States, combining vintage football iconography with the colors, legacy and culture of fans of each NFL franchise.
These are not your typical fan. They are part of the launch, kit of part and bait of the collector.
The collection was available exclusively between June 20 and June 22 at Fanatics Fest NYC, who was heading to the Javits Center in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, if you were there, you have undoubtedly put hands on something special.
