Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham will bet on the defender

Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham are reportedly ready to move for Fikayo Tomori with AC Milan ready to sell.

Tomori joined Milan from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for £24m (for BBC Sports) after a successful loan spell at the San Siro.

The centre-back enjoyed early success in Italy, winning the Serie A title in his first season following a permanent move and started most of Milan’s Serie A games until suffering a hamstring injury last season

Tomori has struggled to regain his place since then and has played just 38% of his available Serie A minutes this season.

Tomori’s contract with the Rossoneri runs until the summer of 2027.

According to reports in Italy (via The Hard Tackle), Milan are now willing to cash in on Tomori while he still has a reasonable transfer value.

Rumors claim Milan are seeking €30m (£24.8m) for the 27-year-old, who still has just five England caps to his name despite his success in Italy.

Tomori is believed to be eyeing a return to the Premier League if his spell at Milan ends and, at present, it appears that NewcastleAston Villa and West Ham are the favorites for his signature.

Lazio’s Spanish centre-back Mario Gila is one of the leading candidates to replace Tomori at the San Siro should he return to England in January or the upcoming summer transfer window.

AC Milan currently sit in eighth place in Serie A, already 14 points behind leaders Atalanta and eight behind Lazio in fourth and final place in the Champions League.

However, Paulo Fonseca’s men have lost just one of their last 11 games in all competitions, ahead of facing Roma in Serie A and Juventus in the Supercoppa Italiana in their next two games .
