Newcastle United are reportedly considering a January bid for exciting Belgian full-back Johan Bakayoko.
The Magpies have long been looking for reinforcements in wide positions, particularly with Miguel Almiron is likely to leave the club soon

Anthony Gordon is an unquestioned starter Newcastlewhile Eddie Howe also has Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy at his disposal.
But if Almiron were to leave, it would leave Howe’s side extremely vulnerable to injury.
The summer transfer window was incredibly frustrating for Newcastle, who missed out on a number of key targets; notably Crystal P3alace and England centre-back Marc Guehi.
Newcastle United make Johan Bakayoko their top January target

Newcastle will look forward to a much more productive January window and seconds TBRthat could mean a move for Bakayoko, who has completed 3.29 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Eredivisie this season, compared to Gordon’s 1.38 in the Premier League.
Bakayoko has caught the eye over the past two years with PSV Eindhoven, with 19 goals and 16 assists in 64 appearances in all competitions since the start of last season.
The 21-year-old’s form has been key in helping PSV lift the Eredivisie title last season, as well as two Johan Cruyff Shields, while earning him a place in Belgium’s Euro squad 2024.
According to TBR, Bakayoko heads an extensive list of wingers that also includes Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and former Man Utd youngster Anthony Elanga, who is now plying his trade for Nottingham Forest.
Brentford are understood to have made a failed bid for Bakayoko last summer, while Arsenal and Liverpool have long been monitoring his situation.
Newcastle are currently eighth in the Premier League, but are third-placed Chelsea by just one point ahead of their home clash with West Ham United on Monday evening.
