Decent centre-backs don’t come up for sale very often, so it’s no surprise to see as many as 11 clubs keen to take on PSG’s brilliant Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar.
According to CaughtOffside sources with knowledge of Paris Saint-Germainthe transfer plans of Milan Skriniar he is expected to be available in the January transfer window for €35 million.
Newcastle want to land Milan Skriniar
Situations of Jamaal Lascelles and Fabian Schar a Newcastle they are not clear yet.
With the Magpies continuing to view Skriniar as a financially viable option for the January window per CaughtOffside sources, Eddie Howe clearly has some quick decisions to make.
Not least because Newcastle already have a deal to doand they are plotting another before Skriniar it is even thought.
Howe certainly won’t get his own way.
This is because the sources have advanced it as well Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in Skriniar.
Spurs see him as an important defensive back-up for both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
Where Ange Postecoglou could struggle in terms of any negotiations is that he apparently sees Skriniar as a good rotation option rather than a first choice.
European giants to fight for Milan Skriniar
With the likes of Napoli, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Roma, Al Nassr and Atlético de Madrid seemingly ready to offer him a place in holder, Spurs would therefore be placed as outsiders in any transfer scenario.
While PSG have set a €35m price tag for the 29-year-old, sources believe that figure could be reduced to €25m during talks.
From the player’s own point of view, it is understood that he intends to leave PSG in January because he was not given enough opportunities to impress but, above all, he is in no rush to make a decision.
With the selection of clubs to choose from and despite his advancing years, this is a perfectly acceptable position.
