German coach Julian Nagelsmann He is reportedly emerging as another name in the frame to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

The Red Devils have a number of names linked with them at the moment after another dreadful result at the weekend, with the Ten Hag side beaten 2-1 by West Ham at the London Stadium.

according to talkSPORTNagelsmann is a new name Man Utd have been considering recently, while the report also mentions the likes of Xavi and Thomas Frank.

Ten Hag has stuck to his job so far this season, but there’s little sign of things getting any better, and so it surely means a change is coming sooner rather than later, even if it’s not necessarily clear that it’s imminent as of now.

Should Julian Nagelsmann replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United?

Nagelsmann is certainly an option worth considering for United, as he will likely be keen to find work at a top-flight club again soon after his time with the German national team.

The 37-year-old has long been regarded as a top manager, having impressed as a youngster in jobs at the likes of Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig, although the move to Bayern Munich may have come a little early .

It would be interesting to see Nagelsmann at United, but one imagines he could also have some concerns about the position at Old Trafford.

So many top managers have struggled at MUFC in this nightmare period for the club since the retirement of the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013.

Nagelsmann could look at how Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal and Erik ten Hag have struggled and decide he’d rather wait for another chance with a more established and well-run club.

The German tactician will likely have interest from other big clubs if he decides to leave his current position, so there is no need to rush to accept the first offer that comes his way.
