Alart press, find the giant scissors and suggest the cutting ceremony of the bar. With spring in full activity, it can only mean one thing: it’s the course opening season.
In 2024, we saw a year flag for the course openings. Resorts, private clubs and local tracks across the country (and the world) made titles with redesign, remodeling or just new flat loops. Pinehurst No. 10. Bandon Dunes’s Short. Broomsaged. Tree farm. Sedge Valley. Citrus farms (Karoo). The list continues and continues.
This year there may be no names like Pinhurst or Bandon, but that doesn’t mean the course openings are taking a step back. Here are six we currently have in our sights:
Resort Gamble Sands (Scarecrow) – Opening August 2025

Originally scheduled for a 2024 opening, Gamble Sands pushed the opening of Grill. In doing so, it certainly made it the most anticipated course of 2025.
David McLay Kidd’s newest creation comes to life, and is not disappointed. With startling views of the Columbia River in Brewster, Washington, the course is described by World golf as “loaded with hidden trap doors and secret strategies … Playing is how to line the colors of a rubic cube. There are so many combinations that can solve the puzzle.” Sloper than her sister course, Scarecrow offers 300 hectares of new golf players in his resort, making it a necessary destination in 2025.
Golf Club Poppy Ridge – Opening May 2025

Next on our list is Golf club Poppy Ridge in Livermore, California. Calling Poppy Ridge a new course or a redesign, however, is open to interpretation.
Initially the 27 holes page, Jay Blasi set out to make the course more “walked” and he submitted. By offering a creative layout, Poppy Ridge boasts a “18 -hole championship course”, six different collection options and picturesque views of the California Summer Country. While three nine with the name properly called Chardonnay, Merlot and Zinfadel can disappear, the surrounding vineyards and the prospect of fresh summer after your round can help you lose that sour taste in your mouth from a string of bogeys.
KEEP in Mclemore – September 2025

Those who are familiar with the Highlands course in Mclemore will know everything about the startling appearance of 18. However, if I were telling you that they were decided to discover their second mountain course?
Designed by Bill Bergin and Rees Jones, hold hopes of bringing the same level of splendor and fear, while still providing players a challenge. Described as “one of the world’s great golf pages” by Rees Jones, Mclemore has given players another reason to reserve a stay.
We recently visited the Keep for Preview game and left impressed.
Bella Ridge – Opening at the end of summer 2025

Against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, Colorado’s newest golf course sits on an old milk farm. The unique layout is the first to grace the state in over three years (the last is the rain, which has an excellent course logo).
But Bella ridge It is not meant to be a course. The Podtburg family, who owns the land and the course, Hope Bella Ridge “becomes a community center, offering food and drink opportunities and serving as an event site, (with) plans for a future rich residential community).
Cabot Highlands (Old Petty) – In advance September 2025

Cabot is preparing to add to their already impressive golf portfolio.
OldDesigned by Tom Doak, a 400-year-old castle located in the Scottish highlands, which gave the course its name. Taking inspiration from the portrait of the “COO” region (Highland Cow), the course logo is sure to make a statement in any player’s games. Old Petty is sure not only provides players with an authentic story of Scotland but also Build over the inheritance of other Cabot properties.
Shoes (Golden Horseshoe) – Opening Summer 2025

Just down the road from MygolfSpy headquarters to Virginia, Rees Jones has been busy. Golden Horsehoe in Colonial Williamsburg has been waiting for a variety of events – from the Jones Cup to the NCAA Championship, Golden Horseshoe has just done it all. Now in 2025, Golden Horseshoe is recovering what was lost almost with the opening of footwear.
The newest property supplement is a short course of nine holes in the old spotswood course page. After closing in 2022, it was resonated for shelter – but after community concerns, the plan was laid in June 2023 to make the way to a new shoe. With holes ranging from 46 to 137 yards, the shoes are ready to be the next draw in the Williamsburg colonial.
One thing is clear, there is no shortage of new courses that appear.
