Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is forcing VADA to be the drug testing agency for a rematch with Devin Haney. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) questions whether people “some kind of cut money to use VADA.“
Garcia rejects VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. This means that if there is to be a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KOs), a different drug testing organization will have to be used.
If Bill just insists on VADA, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims it’s the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, the rematch cannot take place unless a different drug testing agency is used.
It shouldn’t matter to Bill which agency is used. As long as there’s testing, that’s the main thing, especially if he’s worried about Devin getting hit again. He looked bad as hell when he last fought Ryan in 2024.
This would be bad for Haney because he is a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem, and sooner or later he will be beaten by a less popular fighter than Kingry once he faces someone decent.
“It’s getting very strange why it’s always VADA. Can we get some other organizations to test. Because you just had Bill (Haney) print VADA. He never says any other organizations, and it’s strange (that) he pushes a certain organization. Don’t you want just any kind of testing? All of this sounds like the people who insist on using VADA are getting some kind of cut to get people to use VADA. Seems unethical. That’s just my opinion,” Ryan Garcia opined X about her wondering why Bill Haney is pushing so hard for VADA to be used for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but I will never use that organization again,” says Ryan about how he will never use VADA again.
