Thursday evening in 2025 Chevron ChampionshipNelly Cord seemed to be going straight an early shameful exit in protecting its title. But then Korda attracted a wonderful accusation of making not only cutting, but put on a possible win of Sunday’s return.
Catastrophic start of Chevron Cord
Last year, Korda lasted an extraordinary winning line in five with Her triumph in the Chevron Championship.
It also represented World no. 1 The great victory of the second career, which had added importance because Korda had shown a tendency to deceive in the biggest stages.
So heading to Chevron this year, Korda hoped to ride her momentum from last year in a repeated victory and the third major title. But Korda’s repeated attempt left the rails early.
She made Bogeys with four directions early in her opening round in holes 3-6, then added two more rods to the nine rear for a five-shocking five-shock.
Cord 13 shots by lead And even well the back of the forecast cut line.
Cord makes epic recovery
And the hits continued to come to the second round of Friday, at least at the beginning. Starting from the nine rear, the cord made the back-back bogeys to 11 and 12 to drop to seven.
At that point, it was a six distant stroke from the cut line of one over. If a lost cut was not guaranteed after Thursday’s round, it was now.
But just when Korda’s hopes seemed completely broken, she was excavated and entrusted to her Elite talent to attract a wonderful comeback.
Still seven long when she finished the 16th hole, her seventh hole of round 2, Korda suddenly pulled from three birds in a row in holes 17, 18 and 1.
With its result it improved to four, the cut line was now in the eye. Still, she had to make three strokes in her last eight holes, a tall feat for each player.
However, it was not so long for the cord. That para-5 bird of the 4th to move in three, then the 6th to get inside a cut line stroke.
In Par-5 8, she added a sixth bird to reach the mark, then made a bold principle at 9 to finish a 68 and survive to play the weekend.
Champion defense continues to roll in round 3
While the incredible charge of the cord cutting line should not be rejected, she still left her eight shooting out of 36 holes to play.
But early on Saturday, Korda proved that she was not happy with just making the cut. Starting again on the nine back as it was on Friday, the cord held the bird train to roll to 11, 13 and 16 to cross two under the tours.
At that point, it was climbing all the way from the bottom of the rock to seven to get within four leaders’ shootings.
An unlucky Bogey unfortunately on the Par-3 3rd sent it back to par. But even so, despite its terrible onset, Korda still has an external chance to secure her repeated Sunday victory in the Chevron Championship.
