MVP Beats ‘Rigged’ Claims: Paul Vs. Tyson was ‘full effort

Jake Paul’s promotional company, MVP, has issued a statement regarding people’s claims that his fight against Mike Tyson on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas was rigged.

Some people noted that in the latter part of the fight, Jake seemed to take his foot off the accelerator to avoid hurting Tyson. The former heavyweight champion Tyson looked like an old fossil and would crumble if Jake opened up on him with a barrage. The way Jake seemed to relax was noticeable to fans.

While some fans on social media saw the fight as scripted, it was clear to most that 58-year-old Mike Tyson was too old to win and had business to be in a boxing ring for an eight- round professionally sanctioned fight against influencer Jake Paul or anyone with halfway decent skills.

Declaration of MVP

“To suggest anything other than full effort from these fighters is not only naive, but an insult to the work they do in their craft and to the sport itself.”

Gullible fans were fooled into thinking Tyson had a chance to win after watching his mitt drills in the build-up to the eight round. He did look fast, but only short clips were shown. During the open workout, Tyson was out of breath after being questioned. He never caught his breath and looked in poor health cardio-wise after an athletic contest involving eight two-minute rounds.

The statement by Most Valuable Promotions isn’t going to change the view of fans who felt it was poor taste on Jake Paul’s part to pick an old Mike Tyson, who is pushing 60, to gain fame and make money. It was seen as someone scooping from the bottom of the barrel to make a goat.

Jake has been fighting older fighters since the beginning of his career in 2020, so this was the norm for him.

Many people who didn’t pay attention to Jake’s fights were upset at the idea that he would bring Tyson out of his 19-year retirement to fight him rather than focus on one of the contenders in the cruiserweight or heavyweight divisions . Many fighters would have readily agreed to fight Jake if he had asked.

The scores:

– 79-73
– 80-72
– 79-73
