“Moving Like A Hare”: Eddie Hearn hits Devin Haney’s scary performance against Ramirez, who doubts with a flawed Ryan Garcia

Eddie Hearn says the “Rematch is in Tatters” Between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney after their disastrous performances on the 2nd Times Square card. Hearn mentions that both fighters need another battle. He does not say who they should fight against, but it is a good idea for both to take safe opponents.

Haney (32-0, 15 COs) was still ready to enter the ring for a face-off, despite the fact that Ryan lost his headliner collision against Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero. From Devin’s point of view, he felt that he had done his part by winning his fight against Jose Ramirez in the co-function. He was ready to start promoting the planned October rematch with Kingry.

Hair-like movement

Hearn says he was told that Haney like a “Hair” Inside the ring, moving uninterrupted, seems “furthest” against the former WBA and WBO Light Welterweight Champion Ramirez. He won the battle with a unanimous 12 round decision. He looked so scared about the constant movement that came out of the fight, while his stock dropped as it would be if he lost. He could have done better if he fought bravely in the defeat, because at least he would not have looked like a chicken.

Hearn doesn’t say who Ryan and Haney can fight what would be good enough to save themselves. The fans will not respect them if they fight against a few tomato cans. They need to fight welter weights with a high caliber that they can potentially beat to come back. Will Devin and his father, Bill Haney, agree to fight a good contender to raise their stock for a re -broadcast with Ryan? I doubt it.

“Devin had a lot of demons, but he didn’t make a very good effort to mask them. I got some of the first round messages and said: ‘Devin looks petrified, ‘‘Tell Eddie Hearn to the Chris Mannix YoutubE Channel, talk about Devin Haney’s performance against Jose Ramirez on May 2 on Times Square. “He went through a lot in that Ryan Garcia fight, but he just moved.

“Devin moved like a rabbit. It was mad. Actually, when he held his feet in the few times he did, he repeatedly hurt Ramirez. I felt with his size, if he held his feet, he stopped 100% in it. I don’t know if he’s not the same fighter or he needs the rounds to get the obstacle over. ‘

Haney would not have stopped Ramirez if he stood and traded with him. If there is anything, Haney would have been cut because he was marked a few times when he stopped running. After being hit, he took off like a rocket and sped around the ring. Devin doesn’t seem to be able to take a decent shot without falling to the canvas. People don’t realize that Haney haunted the camp, and he was probably injured repeatedly. It probably scared him even more to mix it with Ramirez. He had the appearance of a fighter injured in the training camp.

Uninspired Garcia

“Then we went to Ryan Garcia, who was bizarre,” Hearn says. “Nobody really did anything. I don’t know what he did. Was it just that he dropped? Derrick James told him the right things to do, but he never really tried. Is that the moment? Is that the confidence? Did he get out of love? Did he get hurt and didn’t want to get involved? ‘

Garcia did try to get involved, but after he got hurt in the second round, he quickly gave up. He fought back in that round, but felt Rolly’s power and dared to take chances again.

“None of them are really encouraging, but Rolly didn’t really do anything,” Hearn said. “It was a strange battle. Haney then got into the ring to do the face. You now have the big rematch. The rematch is in tatjies. It is nowhere near the value it was. And I think both guys need another fight, ”says Hearn.

Ryan and Haney do need another fight, but none of them will take the chance to fight a good opponent to make fans believe in them again. The only way they would do this is if Turki Alalshikh set their feet on fire and told them to beat the top killers at 147 or 140 to get the re -broadcast. He must let them know that they must fight top fighters, and if they lose, “no re -broadcast”. It’s just like real life. You are not rewarded for failure. Haney couldn’t entertain, and it’s the worst thing you can do in boxing.

Stock falls

“I mean, Ryan should. I don’t know if there’s a rematch clause,” Hearn said. “Again, you won’t shout soon to see both guys soon. They must compile a performance. This is the entertainment industry. You get all the money. Everyone’s stock fell on Friday and Saturday. If you get all the money and you know what you sign up for, you have to be a little harder than that. ‘

Garcia did not express a beep to want the re -broadcast with Rolly. He says it is up to the supporters to decide whether to fight Haney, Rolly or anyone else. He is not really interested in fighting Rolly again. You can tell it.

Not a killer?

“The thing about Ryan and Devin is that they are not murderers. You must have the mentality, but it was disappointing on that big stage,” says Hearn.

It’s not just that they are ‘not murderers’. Ryan and Haney are not true talents. None of them are good enough to fight against the champions or even the top three contenders at 147 without losing. The way they both fought, even the worst link between the champions at Welterweight, Mario Barrios, would beat them.
