MotoGP™ is delighted to confirm its return to the iconic Automotodrome Bruno. An all-time classic for fans and drivers alike, the Czech venue will welcome the world’s most exciting sport for the next five seasons from 2025 to 2029 inclusive.

Since hosting MotoGP™ for the first time in 1965, the city of Brno has hosted more than 50 Grands Prix, establishing itself as a true destination for two-wheeled enthusiasts. Events were initially held on the local road circuit before the Automotodrome Bruno appeared on the calendar in 1987, hosting MotoGP™ every year until 2020 barring a one-year break in 1992.

Now, 2025 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the long and illustrious history of racing as the Czech GP returns to the MotoGP™ calendar up to and including 2029.

Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic: “Motorcycle racing has a tradition in the Brno Masaryk district dating back to the 1950s. MotoGP is a popular international event that brings tens of thousands of visitors to the Czech Republic, especially South Moravia, many of them from abroad. I am delighted that we have been able to continue this tradition and that the MotoGP race is returning to Brno after five years.

Jan Švović, President of the Autoclub of the Czech Republic: “I have always believed that MotoGP will return to Brno. In all these years I have been asked many times by the drivers, team principals, Dorna and FIM people what is going on and when we will be back, because everyone loves Bree. This became possible due to the change of the owner of the circuit, because the new owner decided to invest in the development of this visual institution. Big thanks to the Czech Government and Prime Minister Mr. Fiala, the South Moravian Region and its Governor Mr. Grolich, the City of Brno and its Mayor Ms. Vashkova and the event partner Credits Group!

Karl Hubáček, Chairman of the Board Automotodrome Bruno: “I am happy that the negotiations have been successfully concluded, which is the result of a constructive approach by all parties. I would like to thank the Auto Club of the Czech Republic and Dorna Sport for their genuine support for the return of the Masaryk Circuit to the map of the most prestigious motorcycle championship. Likewise, the Government, the South Moravian Region and the City of Brno I really appreciate the good stance you have taken. At this time, we are fully focused on the next key stages of preparation to ensure that fans have an exceptional experience.

Carmelo Izpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports, owner of the MotoGP™ rights: “We are very happy to announce our return to Birno. It’s a classic with a fantastic setting that has featured some of the most memorable moments in MotoGP’s long history. We’re really excited to be back on the stage with Tissot Sprint every weekend and fans can get closer to their heroes than ever before on-site. We’ve seen the hills here filled with love for our sport many times – the Grand Prix of the Year on several occasions – and we’re delighted to bring MotoGP back to our fans in the Czech Republic.
