Francesco Bagnaia won the MotoGP World Championship on Sunday Cirque de Barcelona-Catalonia, in Spain. His driving Lenovo Team Ducati Desmosedici GP24 The two-time MotoGP world champion won the 24-lap race on Michelin control tires by 1.474 seconds.
Six-time MotoGP World ChampionMarc Marquez was racing on the Gresini Racing Ducati Desmosedici.
2024 MotoGP World Champion Jorge Martin placed third in his own Prima Pramac Racing Ducati.
Marquez’s brother and teammate Alex Marquez took fifth.
In the last race of his career, Alex Espargaro crossed the finish line in fifth place Aprilia RS-GP.

After 20 Sprints and 19 Grands Prix, everything had a special meaning beyond the action on the circuit at the final race of the season at the Barcelona Mutel Solidarity Grand Prix, when we went #RacingForValencia. But Bastianini’s hopes of a podium and third place in the championship were dashed as the Italian crashed on lap 8 and dropped to eighth. There is a great deal of work left to do in fighting him. Espargaro soon faced another challenge, finishing fourth behind Martin Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) Now on the tailpipe. The #73 saw his first opportunity on lap 11, but couldn’t make the move stick at the start of the thrilling battle.
Up front, Bagnaya continued his relentless pace, with 11 laps remaining in the 1:40 bracket. It was an impressive ride from the Italian, pulling out all the stops to add half a second to Marc Marquez. The #93s tried everything to respond, opening up the wicket and starting to match the pace of the Italian.
It played a big role for some when the tires came down. Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) starts to struggle with grip in the closing stages. Acosta was sixth on the circuit, so he lost ground to Bastinini before dropping to ninth on lap 18 after losing further ground to Morbidelli and receiving a track limit caution.
In the final stages, Bagnaia maintained his lead on Marc Marquez, with Martin in decisive third. It was a dream ride for the #89, coming close to capturing his maiden MotoGP™ World Championship at every corner. Martin has been consistent as he crosses the line to become the 2024 MotoGP™ World Champion.
Alex Marquez beat Espargaro in the final lap to finish fourth, missing the podium by just 1.512 seconds. Espargaro, the full-time world champion, rounded out the top five in the final race #41 after an impressive ride in the closing laps. Meanwhile, Binder claimed eighth and beat Bastianini to the line after a fantastic battle.
back, Marco Bezecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) and Acosta rounded out the top 10 on a fantastic day in Barcelona.
