Acosta tried to follow the Aprilia closely, but the KTM’s lack of straight-line speed eventually allowed Bezeci to pull a comfortable gap. In lap 14 the Sharks made a mistake in turn, giving Martin P2 and Aprilian 1-2.
A late charge from Ai Ogura looked set to seal the podium as the Aprilia moved into fourth. But an electrical failure interrupted his heroic effort, the factory outfit managed to finish the second in a row 1-2.
Acosta secured P3 for KTM, with Di Giannantonio again finishing fourth as the top Ducati. Marquez salvaged P5 after serving a long lap penalty and battling with teammate Bagnaia and Innea Bastianini.
