MotoGP: European Commission extends independent media takedown investigation – Road Racing World Magazine

Liberty Media has announced today that it has been notified that the European Commission is opening a more in-depth (Phase II) investigation into MotoGP’s plans to acquire it. The deal to acquire MotoGP was announced in April and has since received all necessary regulatory approvals.

Due to the opening of the secondary investigation, all parties have agreed to extend the review process and believe that the European Commission will reach a positive conclusion.
