Kuala Lumpur, January 31, 2026 – The BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP team has officially unveiled its new project for the 2026 season in a new international setting. The group’s first presentation was held in Kuala Lumpur, hosted by title sponsor BK8 News, marking a major step in the group’s growth and international expansion.
At the event, Alex Marquez took the midfield position and was present in person with the team leaders and partners, while Fermin Aldeguer was joined by live communication from the field due to injury. The young Spanish rider will return to the Desmosedici as soon as possible due to the physical absence that does not limit his participation in the sports project.
The new livery represents a consistent evolution of the Gresini Racing identity: essential and modern design, clean surfaces and refined volumes, the team’s iconic blue is interpreted in a rich and strong finish. A clear styling choice that completely omits the chrome detailing to express a more aggressive racing character.
The event was an opportunity to remember Fausto Grecini and relive the moments that shaped the history of the Faenza-based team, this year marks its 30th MotoGP season.

ALEX MARQUEZ #73“I am very happy with the new bike and I am very excited to start a new season with this team. This year’s presentation in Kuala Lumpur was very special; it is a different and very important market. We hope that this season will be full of success, and we will have the determination and hard work we need to reach our goals. We are absolutely ready to challenge ourselves.”
Firm Aldeguer #54: “Obviously it’s a shame not to be in Kuala Lumpur for the team approach. We’ve had a bit of a setback and we’re working tirelessly to get back as soon as possible. I miss the team and I miss the bike. Unfortunately, we have to do things right and recover. At the moment the only goal is to get back to 100% and then it’s only one step back to get back on the bike. A year, and there’s a strong desire to get back.

Nadia Padovani – Team owner Gresini Racing: We have left full confirmations for the 2025 season and look forward to 2026 with enthusiasm and great commitment. Expectations are high – we have a strong team, with a lot of experience behind us, and two very talented riders ready to continue the development path we have built over the years. Check back with us soon. Alex has what it takes to be a consistent front runner and fight for places at every race weekend and we are really proud of this pair and the work we do together.
Michael Gatt – BK8 News Managing Director: “Bringing the team to Kuala Lumpur is not just a change of location. It reflects how BK8 News approaches this partnership.
