MotoGP™ returns for another throw of the dice at the PT Grand Prix of Thailand, with Marco Bezecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) claiming the advantage after free practice. , remains undefeated in the closing stages. The #72 was just 0.038 ahead of world championship leader George Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) who secured second place at the end of the course. Martin looked comfortable in FP1, placing ahead of title challenger Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), the Italian’s position on lap 20 of FP1.
Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) was fourth with a strong start at the Chang International circuit. The #93 was 0.259s off the top spot, finishing the morning ahead of his brother Alex Marquez, who had a great morning for Gresini Racing in MotoGP™ – completing the top five positions. Meanwhile, Ducati Lenovo’s Innea Bastianini finished sixth ahead of the returning Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GAASGAS Tech3). The rookie finished seventh on the time sheet ahead of Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing).
Back to back, Takaki Nakagami (IDEMITSU Honda LCR) and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™’s Fabio Quartararo rounded out the top 10 riders as the top riders for the Japanese factories. Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) finished 15th in a strong morning for the Noale factory, while Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) ended the session in P21 after crashing the #41 in the opening 10 minutes on turn 12.
