Alvaro Carpe during Moto3 World Championship practice on Saturday morning at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas. The Spaniard led 25 riders on a Pirelli-shod Red Bull KTM Ajo machine to cover the 3.43-mile (5.51km) course in 2:13.190, breaking Maximo Quiles’ all-time lap record of 2:13.757 set in practice yesterday.
Valentin Perrone of Red Bull KTM Tech3 was second best with a time of 2:13.280.
Joel Esteban powered his Level Up MTA KTM to claim the third and final spot with a lap time of 2:13.349.
