More from the MotoGP press release:

Almansa Buchanan and Pratama on Friday in Brazil Peep. Spain, New Zealand and Indonesia round out the frontrunners as Moto3 hits Goiania for the first time.

David Almansa (Licky Molly Dynavolt Intact GP) went fastest in Friday’s practice at Brazil’s Estrella Galicia 0,0 Grand Prix, but by the end of the session he would have covered the top three by 0.050 on MotoGP’s return to Brazil. Second to New Zealand’s Cormac Buchanan (CODE Motorsports), just 0.003 off the top, with Indonesian rookie Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia) 0.047 behind in third.

Almansa’s 1:30.260 to go fastest in the afternoon was down from the 1:32.812 set by rookie Brian Urirte (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in FP1, improved by the qualifying conditions in FP1, which was officially classified as dry. Uriart was at the top of the morning and P7 in the afternoon was a clean four tenths.

Joel Kelso (MLav Racing), rookie Rico Salmela (Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Joel Esteban (Level Up – MTA) followed Pratama overall throughout the afternoon, sitting ahead of Uriart in P7. Marco Morelli (CFMOTO Gaviota Aspar Team), Leo Rammerstorfer (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Casey O’Gorman (SIC58 Squadra Corse) completed the top ten, with a handful of experienced riders on the grid having plenty of room to shine on an all-new track.
