Tony Arbolino secured his pole position for the Moto2 World Championship qualifier on Saturday at the Misano World Circuit – Marco Simoncelli, San Marino. The Italian was the fastest of the 31 riders on the Pirelli-shod Elf Mark VDS Racing Team Calex with a 1:35.229 around the 2.6-mile course.
Arbolino countryman Celestino Vetti was second best on the Red Bull KTM Ajo Calex with a 1:35.240.
Japan’s Ai Ogura took the third and final spot on the front row in the MT Helmets – MSI Boscoscuro with a time of 1:35.419.
American Joe Roberts, the sole supporter of American Racing Team Calex, finished seventh with a 1:35.650.
