Moses Itauma roasted for Frank Sanchez

Moses Itauma’s decision to fight against Frank Sanchez In an IBF heavyweight title, this week is strongly criticized by fans on social media.

Is that the first red flag?

It was a fight that Moses should have accepted so that he could close the criticism he received over a manufactured fighter. He did not do much as an amateur until he became a pro in 2023. The guys he fought in the benefits have one after the other older fighters.

Itauma, 20, is reportedly choosing to go in a different direction, rather than facing the powerful Cuban Sanchez, which has the hand speed to suit him. He also has the power that would have tested whether Moses is legal.

Hunter or Adelee: Safer choices

Coppinger reports that itauma will fight against potentially one of these two fighters in December:

  • David Adelye
  • Michael Hunter

The 37-year-old hunter (24-1-2, 17 COs) is about the same age that many of the opponents have fought over the past two years.

In addition to the fighters, Philip Hrgovic, Zhilei Zhang and Jarrell Miller were also considered for Itauma’s next battle in December. Hrgovic had a bad cut in his last battle against nobility. He wouldn’t be ready to fight Itauma in December, even if he wanted to take the competition.

Why fans choose cherries

The praise that Itauma received after his first round victory over veteran Dillian Whyte on August 16, 2025, disappeared in some quarters. Those who regard Itauma as signs of fear believe that he intends to choose his way to work.

What fans are concerned about is that Itauma maneuver himself to capture a world title, and then select his opponents and eradicate the dangerous people, as we see here with Sanchez. This is not what the heavyweight section needs.

Itauma’s weak resume says a lot about him and his management. If he was the right thing, he wouldn’t have been linked to these guys:

  • Dillian Whyte: 37
  • Mike Balogun: 41
  • Mariusz Wach: 45
  • And Garber: 40
