Why was Morne Morkel return home?
According to more than one report, Malkel returned to South Africa after his father’s death from the opening match against Bangladesh in Bangladesh on February 20.
Morkel joined the Indian staff on February 15 and participated in practice sessions in the ICC Academy, but on February 17, he kidnapped the team’s training and increased his concerns. The passenger of his father shadowed the team’s preparations for the tournament.
As the Indian team is campaign in the Champion Cup, Morkel’s walk is seen as an important blow. It is uncertain whether it will return to the staff during the tournament. The team is currently scheduled for one day before continuing training a day before the first match.
