Indian National Cricket Team pacer Mohammad Shami has named his favorite fast bowlers. The premier pacer named a former player of Pakistan National Cricket Team Vaghar Yunis and former South African National Cricket Team fast bowler Dale Steyn as favourites.
Mohammed Shami is undoubtedly one of the best fast bowlers that the Indian National Cricket Team has produced. The fast bowler has made a huge impact for the team in all three formats and is currently rated among the best pacers in world cricket between red ball and white ball cricket.
Mohammad Shami has been making a consistent impact for the Indian National Cricket Team since his debut in the team. The fast bowler has thrived under pressure for the team and has contributed very well to the team in major tournaments.
In the last few ICC events, Mohammed Shami has been nothing short of exceptional. His best performance came in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2023 where he gave his all and helped India reach the final of the tournament without losing a game.
Mohammed Shami missed the first few games due to a team combination. But as soon as he came to the team, he changed the whole color of the team. The fast bowler picked many wickets and helped the Indian National Cricket Team win games single-handedly and dominantly.
Although Shami was injured, he did his best for the team. The fast bowler was suffering from ankle pain but decided to play even if he was worried. He took injections and painkillers and became the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets to his name.
Since then, Mohammad Shami has been out of action. The pacemaker was operated on and underwent rehabilitation. The fast bowler has continued to bowl in the nets and will soon return to action for the Indian National Cricket Team.
Shami said he will make a comeback in Ranji Trophy 2025 for the Bengal state team. He has been included in the 31-member probables for the Bengal squad. Reports claimed that he might play two games before returning to the Indian team.

During a quick question and answer session in an interaction with Star Sports, Shami was asked to name his favorite bowlers. He said he would choose Waqar Younis and Dale Steyn even though there are many. He said:
“There’s a lot of them. But if you’re asking for names, I like Wagar Younis and Dale Steyn better.”
Shami played a total of 64 Tests, 101 ODIs and 23 T20Is, with 229 wickets in Test cricket, 195 ODI scalps and 24 dismissals in the shortest format. He would like to make a dominant comeback and help the team win the upcoming 10 Tests.
