Fakhar Zaman dropped after posting a tweet in support of Babar Azam
Fakhar Zaman recently made headlines as he sent a tweet in favor of it Babar Azam When he was about to be dropped from the Test squad for the second and third matches against the England National Cricket Team.
Fakhar tweeted that Babar, who is among the all-time greats, should not be dropped as it will send a negative message to the team. He also compared Babar’s lean patch to Virat Kohli, pointing out that the Indian selectors have not let the superstar batsman go.
Fakhar’s move did not go down well with the Pakistan Cricket Board, who issued a notice to the batsman demanding an explanation. In response, the star batsman said he respected PCB but Babar “deserves a chance in tough times”.
Fakhar Zaman has already faced the consequences of his tweet as he has been dropped from the Pakistan squad and left out of the list of central contracted players.
In a press conference, Mohsin Naqvi confirmed that Fakhar’s spat with the PCB over a tweet and his failure to pass a fitness test led to his dismissal.

It should be noted that Mohammad Amir himself was excluded from the Pakistan team. He was not selected in any of the four squads selected for the ODI and T20I tours of Australia and Zimbabwe. series.
