Liverpool star Mohamed Salah continued his fine form for the Reds this season by scoring the winner against Brighton on Saturday.
The Premier League giants were losing, but Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah turned the game around and lifted Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.
Salah has now scored seven league goals this season along with five assists for the Merseyside club.
He is currently fit for life, but his long-term future at Liverpool remains uncertain due to his contract situation.
At the end of the season, Salah will become a free agent and Liverpool are reportedly targeting a move Brentford’s Bryan Mbuemo and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo.
Jamie Carragher is still confident that Salah will sign a new contract at the club though Salah’s last post on X I would suggest otherwise.
The Egyptian striker wrote after the win against Brighton:
“The top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches, but in the end there is only 1 champion. This is what we want. Thanks for your support last night. Whatever happens, I’ll never forget what it feels like to score at Anfield.”

Has Mohamed Salah revealed anything about his contract?
Salah has been the mainstay of Liverpool’s attack since joining the club and because of his presence in their attack, they have managed to rule the Premier League and Champions League.
The fact that Salah used the words “no matter what” in his post shows that the club are still far from agreeing a new deal with the Premier League star.
It would be a huge blow for the Reds to lose him and that too as a free agent.
Liverpool’s hierarchy should do whatever is necessary to keep the player at the club and extend his stay.
Under Slot, Salah has played some of the best football of his career and the Reds would struggle to replace his goals and assists.
