MLB Insider predicts what Corbin Burns will get in free agency

Many are making predictions as Major League Baseball fans wait for some big-name free agents to sign new deals.

While New York Yankees shortstop Juan Soto is the hottest player on the market, Corbin Burns of the Baltimore Orioles is the top free agent starter.

After starter Blake Snell signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Burns is weighing his options.

MLB insider Jon Heyman predicted how much Burns will be paid under his contract this offseason.

“I think my projection for him was $210 (million),” Heyman said, via Foul Territory .

Burns debuted with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2018 and played there for six seasons before joining the Orioles in 2024.

They hoped the addition of Burns would give them a boost to begin a long postseason run.

Although Burns pitched well in the postseason, the Orioles were eliminated from the playoffs in their first series against the Kansas City Royals.

Burns had a productive 2024 regular season, starting 32 games with a 15-9 record with a 2.92 ERA and 181 strikeouts in 194.1 innings.

With Heyman projecting Burns to sign for more than $200 million, there are rumors that he will return to the Orioles next season.

It will be interesting to see what Burns ends up signing with and whether or not he stays with the Orioles.
