A funny thing happened during the first Odi of the three matches row Aussie skipper Mitchell Marsh is suffering from severe cramping and a gel to ease the pain, but he managed his facial expressions during the match between India and Australia at the Optus Stadium on Sunday, October 19.
Australia secured a 7-wicket win in Perth to take a 1-0 lead in the ongoing ODI series. Chasing a target of 131 runs in a rain-affected game, Marsh made an unbeaten 46, Matt Renshaw, with 21 runs, headed for the target in 21.1 overs.

A hilarious interaction between Australian teammates took place between Mitchell Marsh and Marnus Labuschagne during a break in play. The cameras panned as he drew attention from a member of the support staff.

But the scene quickly turned comical when Labuschagne approached his teammate, who offered him a mysterious liquid concoction that turned out to be a sachet of energy gel.
Marsh made a face of a mixture of pain and disgust to make Labuschagne laugh. Although the identity of the substance remains unconfirmed, the comment team questioned exactly what Gel Marsh was supposed to consume.

Mitchell Marsh joins the elite list for most alts by an Australian in the men’s odyssey
Mitchell Marsh joined the elite group of Australian Odi Electric Hitters by hitting his 100th six. He became only the eighth Australian to reach the milestone.
The right-hander showed his hitting prowess in the Perth clash against India, clearing the ropes three times. First Arshdeep Singh, then Mohammad Siraj and Harshit Rana were destroyed.
Before the match, Marsh had 99 sixes in Odis and reached the 100 mark in his 97th appearance. He scored 36 overs, 95 overs, including four centuries and 20 fifties.

Man of the Match Mitchell Marsh praised the crowd for coming through the tough conditions. He also expressed his joy at securing a home win for Australia. Marsh said he was proud of the young players who led the team to a win.
“The weather today. Big thanks to all the crowds who stuck around these days. It can be really frustrating these days, but it’s always nice to win at home. It’s always nice to play for Australia,” he said.
