Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather – two of the most iconic names of the sport – signed with CSI Sports ™/Fight Sports® to resist each other in the spring of 2026. The date and place remain under casing, but the agreement has been done. Tyson, the latest heavyweight champion in history, and Mayweather, Boxing’s unbeaten 50-0 defensive genius, will eventually share a ring.
Both men confirmed the fight. Tyson admitted that he could hardly believe that Mayweather agrees. Mayweather, in brand style, says it’s just another big stage to prove that he’s still ‘the best in the box’.
Tyson brings the power even in the late 50s
Tyson will be 58 if he fights against Mayweather, but the danger has not disappeared. Fans saw flashes of his power in his 2020 exhibition with Roy Jones Jr., which made more than 1.6 million PPV purchases -proof that people still pay to see how he throws bumps. His 2024 Comeback event hit broadcast records and paved the way for something even bigger. Tyson insists that Mayweather dares his health.

Remember, this is the man who has ever staged the richest battles – Pacquiao (2015, $ 600+ million), McGregor (2017, $ 600+ million) and Canelo (2013, $ 150+ million). Now he adds Tyson, a global mainstream name, to his portfolio.

CSI Sports plot a global spectacle
CSI Sports ™ and Fight Sports® co-founders Richard and Craig Miele say this battle will set every record of Tyson’s 2024 event. This is why it sells: The Brawler vs. The Technician, decades past their heads, but still symbols of what box once was. Purists know that Mayweather must slip, oppose and run out untouched. Accidental fans dream of Tyson who lands one clean shot. This is the hook.
Of course, critics are surrounding. Some call it a circus, a freakshow, another cash grab in the ‘spectacle -era’ of box. Purists argue that it is legacies cheap.
