Fabio Di Giantantonio secured his first sprint podium of the season but lost out to Brazilian Marc Marquez.

After the sprint race ended Saturday afternoon, TNT Sports analyst Michael Laverty discussed di Giannantonio’s battle with Marquez.

Laverty said: “Mark probably would have done it if Diggy had been a bit careful on the last lap and didn’t send it. It was a shame for Diggy to make a little mistake that gave Mark the chance.”

Fabio di Giannantonio is fighting for his future at VR46.
