Michael “Slick” Anderson will face the toughest challenge of his 17-year career when he faces Daniel “El Gallo” Gonzalez in a ten-round welterweight bout on Saturday, October 12 at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ
The battle will headline the latest installment of Brick City Fight Night Serieswhich is presented by Rising Star Promotions and Prudential Center.
Anderson (24-3-1, 18 KOs) of Newark, NJ, comes into the fight having won seven in a row, including six straight by knockout. The 43-year-old Anderson has fought three of his last four fights at the home of the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils, including a fifth-round knockout of Eudy Bernardo last December.
Gonzalez (21-4-1, 7 KOs) of the Woodhaven division of Queens will be the most experienced opponent Anderson has faced in his 18-year career, having previously gone the distance of ten rounds with the former WBO junior welterweight -title holder Chris Algieri laid off. a close but lost decision.

New Jersey bragging rights will be on the line as undefeated prospects Gabriel Gerena (6-0, 5 KOs) of Piscataway, NJ and “Dangerous” Danny Gonzalez (3-0, 3 KOs) of Iselin, NJ meet in a six round junior welterweight bout.
