The New York Mets were one of the biggest stories of the 2024 postseason, going all the way to the National League Championship Series.
After the playoffs, the Mets were one of the biggest stories of the offseason as they signed free agent Juan Soto to a 15-year, $765 million deal.
Not only have the Mets spent a ton of money on Soto, but they’ve stayed aggressive in signing multiple players who could play a role in 2025.
The latest addition to the Mets roster is relief pitcher AJ Minter, who will join the Mets after playing for the rival Atlanta Braves.

Minter played all eight seasons of his MLB career with the Braves.
In 2024, Minter appeared in 39 games and went 5-4 with a 2.62 ERA, one save and 35 strikeouts in 34.1 innings.
Minter is 31 years old and has had several dominant seasons, including 2020 when he posted a 0.83 ERA in 21.2 innings.
The Mets have acquired multiple pitchers this offseason and will be looking to win their first National League East title since 2015, when they lost the World Series.
With the signing of Soto, the Mets appear to be going all-in on a win-now strategy as they once again try to win their first World Series title since 1986.
