Japan Undergo It has made big waves on the tour this year. Sunday in Madrid she made her biggest spraying still, beating the third ranking Jessica Pegula 6-2, 6-2 to reach the fourth round.
Uchijima hit 21 winners in just 10 per pegula to secure victory and reach the 16th round at a 1000 event for the first time.

It was entered into the top 100 places in 2024
Uchijima was ranked at no.171 at the beginning of season 2024. Now it is up to no.54 in the live rankings. Uchijima won 51 games at all levels in 2024, and won her first two main match-drawing matches in Roland-Garros and US Open after qualifying.
Uchijima was named the World Tennis Tennis ITF player of May after a run that peaked in her first match Grand Slam in Roland Garros.

She loves clay – and Madridin
“I didn’t grow up playing in clay fields, but after winning an event (ITF last year in Madrid), I began to like Clay more and more. It quotes Clay as its favorite surface on WTA website.
It reached no.83 in the small ranking
She was not one of the biggest names during her small days of 2018 and 2019. She played four Junior Grand Slams with a better round result of 16 in 2018 in US Open.

Uchijima has a victory over Jelena Ostapenko in Dubai, Emma Raducanu in Indian Wells, as well as ounce Jabaur and Pegula in Madrid. It also took Coco Guff in three sets in Indian Wells, before falling into a third set switch. She also lost to Mirra Andreeva in a third -placed Tiebreak, in the second round in Australian Open this year.
