It didn’t take long during the 2025 US Open too long to create the type of wild, furious night session match that it has become known for years. Less than a day, in fact.

Daniil Medvedev drew fans after a photographer lost his bearings and went to trial during the match point for Benjamin Bonzi, and what followed was six minutes of pure madness after Russian grabbed the Louis Armstrong crowd in one of the crazy moments of the last night’s night memory.
With Medvedev following two groups to love and 5-4, the ad, Bonzi hit a fault. Then Bedlam broke freely while a deceitful cameraman came to trial, stopping the players in their footsteps, while Umpire Greg Allansworth punished the offender and gave Bonzi another first service.
The cameraman was hanged for a while, snapping pictures in the pit, but later removed from his post.
Allansworth’s decision to give Bonzi another first service led Medvedev Batty, and Russian accepted his case as he called on fans to make some noise. They did it exactly and continued to cross the five-minute delay. They did not stop until Bonzi had destroyed his match point and the advantage of the holiday.
Medvedev pushed the fourth, scoring a baggage against a surprised bond, but credited to the Frenchman to find his determination in the final set after he led the ship after two vacation trades, saving five resting points to hold for 4-3, before breaks Medvedev in the tenth game. It was the fourth win of Bonzi’s five-set career, and the second consecutive victory over Medvedev.
2021 Open Open Medvedev’s champion falls to 15-11 in strong courts this season, and 1-4 in Major.
Bonzi will face the American Marcos Giron in the second round.
