Christian Mbilli is unbeaten, unproven and couldn’t care less about playing it safely. On Friday, June 27, he stopped in the VideoTron Center in Quebec City against Maciej Sulecki for the WBC -Tussentage Super -Middore Title, Live on ESPN+ (18:00 et / 15 pm pt).
The French-Canadian wreckage has stopped 23 of 28 opponents and now wants something bigger. That something? Canelo. But first he has to get through Sulecki – a tough Polish spoiler without fear and nothing to lose.

Mbilli wants a belt – and Canelo’s attention
Mbilli’s Chationg a payday with the golden goose of Boxing. “The belt will come home,” he said. “And when Canelo looks, he knows what’s next.” Subtle? No. Effective? We will see.
He is not wrong to speak big. The Résumé’s Clean, The Power’s Real and the hometown will be hard. But Sulecki does not appear a hot body. The same man who gave Danny Jacobs a decent waste and decorated Akhmedov in Kazakhstan is planning to ruin Mbilli’s big night. “He can talk about his plans,” Sulecki said. “But he must fight against me first.”
One tries to start a takeover. The other one is happy to crash the party.
Why the bottom map can steal the show
Forget filler. The bottom map is loaded with potential chaos:
-
Steven Butler wants revenge after being stopped by Jose de Jesus Macias in 2021.
-
Arslanbek Makhmudov returns to Bash Heads, this time against unbeaten Ricardo Brown.
-
And there is no shortage of Canadian talent sprinkled over each weight class – enough swing fights, regional straps and bad blood.
If you like knockout, strange scorecards and drama at the last minute, it is worth setting up before the main meeting.
Questions you might ask
Is this Mbilli’s first real step?
Yes. This is his first shot at a version of a world title and against a legitimate veteran. Time to find out if the hype is genuine.
Can Mbilli fight Canelo next?
Only if he flies Sulecki and makes enough noise. Canelo does not adopt charity matters – Mbilli must force the issue.
Where does the fight happen?
VideoTron Center in Quebec City. Mbilli’s backyard, basically. Expect roar as he throws as much as a stitch.
What time does it all start?
ESPN+ goes directly at 18:00 ET / 15:00 pt. The main event is running? Probably around 9pm ET – but don’t cut.
Is the bottom map worth looking at?
Definitely. Makhmudov hits like a truck, Butler wants salvation, and Guerrero defends his belt. These are all three good reasons.

Mbilli swings for the belt – and maybe for the biggest name of Boxing. If he breaks Sulecki as he promises, Quebec will explode and the Canelo talk becomes very real. But if he slides, stabs or dragged into deep waters? All the ambition evaporates in a hurry.
