For many members, for Wilhelm, summer is at the same time as golf as the reason for joining Mayacama. “This can be the only club I know where it is 90 degrees outside and members are choosing a red wine against a jeans and tonic,” says Wilhelm.

Today, more than three dozen of the world’s highest valued winemakers make up the Vintner members of Mayacama. The wine cave provides access to some of the best of the best everywhere, away, as well as local, with more than 500 choices: Cabernet in Chardonnay, Pinot Noir to Zinfandel. Its events range from an annual “der-al-Vintner”, which unites the club’s winemakers together for a great deal of cuisine and golf, until intimate dinners of Vintner and guest Chef; The first Friday of each month brings with it a complimentary taste that presents the wines of Mayacama members, as well as other local producers that the club considers interesting.

Nicklaus’s appearance, rated among the best in Golden State, cleverly passes through the idyllic valley, with impressive oak trees often defining and protecting the holes.
