Maxi Hughes target Andy Cruz in WBA Lightweight Eliminator

Maxi Hughes told Matchroom that he wanted to fight Andy Cruz, who is at the place of 4, in a WBA lightweight title Eliminator.

Hughes (28-7-2, 6 CO’s) is at the tip of 5 with the WBA just under Cruz (5-0, 2 COs) and has won his last two fights since he was in the fourth round by William Zepeda on March 16 Stopped year.

Ring Magazine reports that Hughes is interested in fighting the 2020 Olympic gold medal, Andy Cruz. The Cuban talent came from a running unanimous decision of 10 round about Omar Salcido (20-2, 14 COs) last Saturday night in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Cruz, 29, stole the performance of the main event match between Diego Pacheco and Steven Nelson with his dominant performance against the Puncher Salcido Puncher Salcido. The scores were 99-91, 98-92 and 98-92.

The World Boxing Association will be the Cruz vs. Hughes fight should be sanctioned to be a lightweight title -Liminator. It is perhaps a waste of time for Cruz to follow the WBA route, as current champion Gerrvonta Davis chooses and chooses his opposition. He is unlikely to agree to fight a talented fighter like Cruz if the WBA commands the fight.

If the WBA commands Tank Davis to fight to fight Cruz, he will probably ignore them, and if they try to force it, he will surely vacate the belt. Andy is the opposite of the type of opposition Davis fought during his career.

Promoter Eddie Hearn mentions that Cruz can follow the IBF route because Vasily Lomacheko was able to vacate the belt soon. Raymond Muratalla against Zaur Abdullaev is expected to fight to go to the IBF belt. #6 IBF Cruz has a better chance of fighting for a belt with this sanction body.

Maxi Hughes would be too much against Cruz. He is not powerful, fast or equipped with the skills needed to be competitive. There is probably no one in the lightweight section that Cruz can beat.

Tank is too limited, Keyshawn Davis has lost four times, and Shakur Stevenson does not have the offense. Andy Cruz is the unconcerned king of the 135 pound division.
