Manchester United ended with a three -game streak in the Premier League by winning Ipswich Town in Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
But it was far from a simple victory for the Ruben Amorim team, who played more than half the game with ten players after Patrick Dorgu was sent shortly before the break.
A first goal from Ipswich’s hazelnut Jaden Philogene suggested that it could be another long night for Amorim and his player, but it was a respectable response as a Sam Morsy’s own goal and a Ligt Matthijs strike turned the score line to his head.
A second from Philogene quickly after Dorgu’s dismissal threatened to return the tide in favor of Ipswich. But Harry Maguire put the United again at the helm after the interval, before a performance of the second half, although with limited creativity of Ipswich, he sealed such a necessary victory.
As the game was deployed
Only four minutes had passed when Filogene put Ipswich in front. Liam Delap’s first stroke was a warning sign of the threat that visitors brought, but the goal was really a gift from a terrible combination of United. There was a breakdown of the communication between Andre Onana and Dorgu, with the defender who had not seen his goalkeeper come on the ball and hit him. From there, Filogene simply ran in the loose pass to achieve an open goal.
But while Maguire forced the goalkeeper of Ipswich, Alex Palmer, to save with a corner header, too many errors linked to the ball continued to obstruct them to win foot.
The United States equalizer halfway through the first half was a stroke in a piece of luck, as Bruno Fernandes’ delivery from a free launch to the left evaded his teammates, but became unnoticed by the network through Morsy’s head.
There was a silenced celebration of Ruben Amorim’s team, knowing well that the level of drawing at home against a team looking at the relegation to the face is nothing to call. But the answer was better and the Ligt Ligt strike was held. He was cruel to Palmer, quickly saving the descending head of Maguire and the Diogo Dalot follow -up, with De Ligt turned the ball to the third bite of the cherry.
Ipswich had been calm since he was in front of him when the impulse turned in a red direction, but Dorgu’s dismissal at the end of the first half changed things again. The back wing was guilty of a reckless point in Ouari Hutchinson, winning the ball, but following the player. But only after a long review VAR arrived at the Refered Darren England on the red card.
The tractor boys equalized only moments later, the low delivery of Filogene from the right nesting to the lower corner, with a misfortune of distraction in the center to make sure that Onana was caught in two minds over where the ball would end.
Some fans had not even cooked their seats after half the meal of food when Maguire headed to United again. The old pattern had been a threat of the piece during the first half and was grateful to connect with another higher installment of Fernandes, feeding the headboard on the ground so that he took the speed of the grass and was out of the scope of Palmer.
Ipswich tried to make his lead in the man’s advantage as he set the clock, enjoying the ball more with the patient’s accumulation. There was a warning signs for the United States, but the final past was never the right one and often moved before being really dangerous. The raids on the side of the house merely counteract attacks and breaks, while relatively comfortably defended in the circumstances, which Ipswich can live in to regret at the end of the season.

30 years ago, Manchester United won 9-0 in this equipment, with Andrew Cole the first player in the era of the Premier League to get five goals in one game.
The visiting teams used to be afraid to play in the Dream Theater, but not more.
Ipswich has been pointed out in a relegation battle throughout the season and had only taken two points from a possible 21 to the Premier League since the year before the starting shot. And yet, they started the game on the front, rewarded by these first efforts with the goal of Son.
The side of Kieran McKenna reached the level before half the time, after leaving behind, and there was never a feeling that Ipswich would be out of this game.
Ruben Amorim said that his team “did not exist” in the first half against Everton the weekend, so he would not have loved to see that United had fallen again, especially so quickly.
It was the fifth consecutive match in which the United has granted first, with the opening of Jaden Philogene the 14th time since Amorim took over three months ago that the opposition has marked within 15 minutes of opening of the first or second half.
It makes the challenge much harder if you get disadvantaged all the time.
The United States has really struggled to find the network in recent months. The first goals here were the first to open the 45 -minute inauguration of a game since the visit of Brighton & Hove Albion on January 19. Generally, Under Amorim, United has reached the first score of the first half in only six of 23 games, and three of these were their first three at work.
Patrick Dorgu was the guilty party for giving Ipswich the opening goal. The January signature controlled the situation, but was not aware enough of his environment, without seeing Andre Onana left the goal to claim the ball.
But Dorgu responded well and spent the next 39 minutes as one of the best players on the pitch. He was determined and committed, winning his individual battles and duels. The only problem was that the 20 -year -old was a bit excessive when he saw the ball there to be won by Ouari Hutchinson after a bad touch of the Ipswich attacker.
Dorgu got a foot in the Bal, but its follow -up was unfortunately out of control and caused the breakwaters to be painfully planted in Hutchinson’s brightness. VAR was necessary, but a red card was the result.
The impulse was immediately changed. Amorim retired Alejandro Garnacho, taking Nousair Mazraouio, to ensure that his team would be defensively protected at the disadvantage of man. But Garnacho was perhaps the only united striker capable of stretching the pitch vertically. It was only moments later, with United he sat on a low block, which Ipswich did 2-2.
The value of the whole pieces cannot be underestimated, especially when a team struggles to create and write down open, as the United has been in recent weeks.
Arsenal showed that at the beginning of the season and the three goals came to courtes of a dead ball situation.
The delivery is very important and Bruno Fernandes, who was also excellent and out of the open ball, provided excellent quality when he needed it.
If United can take advantage of this advantage, there could be a positive increase.
