Masters 2026 Purse: Payout Breakdown, Winner’s Share

Golf’s biggest tournament has once again increased its overall purse. Augusta National Golf Club announced Saturday that the total purse for the 2026 Masters will be $22.5 million, up $1.5 million from last year’s $21 million.

The Masters prize money has also increased, from $4.2 million last year to $4.5 million this year. That makes the Masters payout the largest in major championship history.

The top four finishers all receive over $1 million, with the runner-up receiving $2.43 million, third place $1.53 million and fourth $1.08 million.

After 54 holes at Augusta National, Rory McIlroy AND Cameron Young tied for the lead at 11 under.

McIlroy, the defending champion, led by six after 36 holes but shot 73 on Friday. Young, who won the Players Championship last month, shot a 65 on Friday.

“I’d like to think I’m going to play a little bit looser (on Sunday) and play, you know, like I’ve already got a green jacket, which I do,” McIlroy said. “Sometimes maybe I just have to remind myself of that, but I also think the stakes in terms of, like, the pairing will be a little bit easier. You know, the atmosphere there will be a little bit easier. I’m not worried about it at all. I’d like to be a little bit better, but I’m comfortable. I play with Cam again the first two days). for both of us.”

Sam Burns is single at 10, Shane Lowry at nine and Jason Day and Justin Rose both under 8. Finally, at seven under and four back it is World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

McIlroy and Young’s final doubleheader starts at 2:25 PM ET on Sunday. You can watch on CBS, and click here to see all the other ways you can watch the final round.
